Directions
Palm Key is located just 5 minutes off of Interstate I-95 (Exit 28) in the historic Lowcountry of South Carolina, on Knowles Island where Indians dwelled more than 3,000 years ago. We are at the head of the Broad River, not far from the ocean if you go down-river. Up-river you'll find three magnificent blackwater rivers and cypress swamps, perfect places for kayak adventures. Palm Key is just 30 miles from famous Hilton Head Island; even closer to historic Beaufort, S.C. Both Savannah and Charleston are within easy driving distances for those who have wanderlust
Savannah
Directions from SAVANNAH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Take I-95 NORTH to South Carolina and go 28 miles to Exit #28 which is Route 462 at Coosawhatchie. Take Route 462 east (right) about five miles and look on the left for our large billboard (you can't miss it! it is lit at night too!). Turn left immediately before the billboard and go a mile and a half to our Palm Key entrance sign on your left. The office is Cottage #1, the first on your left when you enter the colony of cottages. Charleston
Directions from CHARLESTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: While leaving the airport watch for the proper exit to I-526 WEST toward Savannah. Do not take I-526 toward Sullivan's Island, or I-26 toward Charleston. I-526 will end in about 7 miles at US-17 (also called the Savannah Highway), take US-17 SOUTH (turn RIGHT, not left toward Charleston). You will stay on US-17 about 50 miles until it ends at Interstate I-95 (at "Point South" Exit 33) Please be respectful of the speed limits on US-17, especially through the town of RAVENEL! Take I-95 SOUTH 5 miles to the next exit: Exit 28, "Coosawhatchie, Rt. 462." Turn left over the bridge (toward Hilton Head Island) and travel about 5 miles until you see the big Palm Key billboard on your left (you can't miss it! it is lit at night too!). Turn left immediately in front of the billboard and follow that road a mile and a half until you come to Palm Key's Colony of Cottages on your left. The office is Cottage #1, the first on your left when you enter the colony of cottages. Return to Top
The Southeast
Directions from FLORIDA, GEORGIA OR THE SOUTHEAST : Take I-95 NORTH to South Carolina and go 28 miles to Exit #28 which is Route 462 at Coosawhatchie. The North
Directions from THE NORTH, North and South Carolina AND POINTS NORTH/NW: Take I-95 SOUTH to South Carolina Exit # 28 which is Rt. 462 at Coosawhatchie. Turn left immediately before the billboard and go one and one-half miles to our Palm Key entrance sign on the left. Hilton Head Island
Directions from HILTON HEAD ISLAND: Take Rt. 278 off the island to Rt. 170. There will be a sign "To Beaufort." Take the right onto RT 170 toward Beaufort, until you see Oldfield Residential Community on your right, take the next left, you will be on Rt. 462. Travel on Rt. 462 about 10 miles, straight through the flashing light. About 5 miles further up Rt 462, you will see the big Palm Key billboard on your right (you can't miss it! it is lit at night too!). Turn right immediately after the billboard and go one and one-half miles to our Palm Key entrance sign on the left.
